    Garry,

Since he checks off 2 of the coaching boxes by himself, what other area will pick up a coach?

I'm wondering how they handle TE, or maybe add another OL coach who knows this system (Brandon Jones worked at Cal under Dykes and TTech under Kliff) or maybe a inside linebacker coach rather than having Clancy handle that role.

We need a staff of 85 folks just like Alabama, Clemson, tOSU, and OU. They essentially have a coach for every player on the roster.

Clay would be foolish to try to call plays or insist on starting roster. KK must have control over these things. If he proves he can't do it, Clay could always come in and take over later. From the sounds of things, Kliff is much better suited to the chess match -- and especially to making the much needed in game adjustments.

Positive spins going on there. Texas Tech's 13th ranking in 2012 rushing is an anomaly. During Kingsbury's tenure Tech averaged 106th in rush yards. In 2018 Tech ranks 110th in rush yards. The offense doesn't hand the ball off for rushing yards or high average per rush but they do show run a lot, which is key for running the whole scheme. I like that 12 rushing TDs by the QB though. It will be interesting if JT can match Sears' athleticism. Air Raid is an outstanding passing system that more than makes up for lack of run production with gaudy pass yards and points - that's awesome. But I am not convinced it's a rushing offense. The facts say otherwise if you don't cherry pick stats.
