    Good move by Bohn.

    Notice I didn't say Helton.

It's clear as day now who is running this football program. He's the one not wearing the whistle at practice. That gives me a little hope for the future.

Yup another one out of Bohn’s Rolodex. Just don’t see any value add with Helton!

He's maybe a recruiter. That's why he should be kicked upstairs as "brand ambassador / faith and family advocate" or some such sinecure.

I don’t think he could compete with JR! But then again they cut JR loose!

What an embarrassment for Helton. Nobody believes this is a Helton hire. He’s just collecting a paycheck in the SC dime.

So we got ND's second in command. Recent Irish success at the Combine has been credited to Matt Balis, Stiner's boss.

I'd like to see an outline of Stiner's "process". Here's a B/A of Te'von Coney....

Almost looks like he worked with Dr Ting.

Sure and begorrah you're not suggestin' tis anythin' untoward happenin' at the hallowed golden dome, what with all those priests and such supervisin' tings and nuthin' a-tall worth those fine fellows in Indianapolis cumin' up to take a peak at our doins'. But if they do, we'll just show 'em the Grotto and invite them for a sit down and a cupatea and such.

I"m concerned that Bohn is going to want to keep these guys and it will turn off prospective coaches. He needs to let Helton sink or swim on his own.

Someone in the Athletic Department needs to do their job, and it might as well be Bohn. It is bad enough that Folt and the BoT appear to have hamstrung him. Now you want him to do his best Helton impersonation and sit back and just collect a check? It seems like the man is willing to compete no matter how bad the deck is stacked against him by the Administration. Good for him, looks like he understands what it means to Fight On!

Maybe Fickell made the recommendation as he will be the next major hire.

Are they all not working towards a common goal? why should it matter who did the bringing as long as the bring in was brought.
They seem to have brought us a GOOD ONE, we should thank every member of the staff including the guys who maintain the fields; who knows one of them could have made the suggestion, or initiated the connection.

If Bohn is playing the long game and sets the table for Fickell, pretty sure we’ll all be fine with that. Presuming we’re just waiting for Helton’s contract to expire...

It wasn't that long ago when Bohn was widely criticized on this board for being idiot. He even had his cute little nicknames that people loved to call him by.

Did he finally wake up and decide to do his job when the calendar turned to 2021? I think not.

This is another example of the USC football program being a total train wreck. Bohn's job is not to hire assistant coaches for Helton. That is Helton's job, and if he is not capable of doing that then he doesn't deserve to be the Head Coach. Another aspect to this scenario, is that if Bohn does fire Helton after next season, what head coach in their right mind is going to accept two or three assistant coaches that are already at USC? Any Head Coach worth their salt is going to want to bring in their own staff, and most important of these staff members is the S&C Coach. Why is it that after twelve years of dysfunction within the football program, the powers that be still cannot get their act together?
