USC is among the top four schools for linebacker Will Latu (Spanaway, Wash./Bethel). The 6-foot-2, 220-pound athlete is down to Michigan, USC, Utah and Washington.

Similar to Julien Simon, Latu’s first offer came from USC and he’s a do-it-all player on both sides of the ball who projects to linebacker at the next level.

Latu has family in California and has talked about USC as his dream school.

He’s the No. 273 overall prospect and No. 15 athlete.

It’s been an interesting process for Latu, who tweeted a top five last summer, then tweeted a top 11 after that. Now, he’s down to four, and USC was on all three lists.

Hoping to improve the speed of our linebacker group. What are our chances?

A nice addition to add to our unproven LB core.
Outside of Gaoteote/Iosefa, our LB core is going to be inexperienced.

Seeing as this is going to be the first year of DCTO new system, I have no clue where Latu/Simon would be projected to line up in 2021.
I am eager to see this new system, as well as how all of these 2021 commits are going to be plugged into it.

Washington is the favorite, but I wouldn't say that's a guarantee at all.
