I am serious in that this is a significant off-season add. Stout and Brown were creating content during the championship run that was pulling tons of eyeballs, and I noted high end recruits engaging with their posts.

Yeah, so does this mean other theoretical support staff hires *ahem* can be announced too?

No doubt they create interest and that does play a part in recruiting. I'd be willing to be their videos were responsible for a big chunk of LSU's social media presence. It just seems so odd that USC can't find someone within. We do have one of the top rated film/media schools in the country.

I think Stout is also planning to enroll so he can finish his degree here.

Maybe HH is trying to going away from the notion that they hire someone with SC ties (Bohn, Sosna, etc.)

100% agree with you on this. It feels really obvious that USC should have been able to walk over to the film school and pluck a couple kids to do this really well at any point over the past decade. But at this point, if USC wants to make a decision to go out and get the best people already doing it, they did that with these two. Interested to see how they work without being part of that massive team at LSU, but these guys are incredibly talented, and there's no on-the-job training required.

I'm guessing this question is referring to the hiring of Chris Claiborne.

I haven’t heard Erik excited as this about an addition to the USC Team (player and staff). I’ll be watching closely!

Another positive step in the right direction here. Got to be able to connect, with the kids nowadays, with the use
of technology. These guys will be blowing up our IG and Twitter feeds. Love it !!

LSU beating all those top teams got their eyes. SC has to win big to get back the top recruits, no more ‘ we played them close’

Maybe not ones that "get it" like these two get college football. There are graphic designers and then there are graphic desiginers.

I'm sure they could, but it would be another case of on-the-job training, and we've seen how that's gone in multiple roles over the past decade. These two "get" what it takes to do this for a football power, and create visual stories that really resonate with many groups of people--coaches, players, fans, recruits, etc.

Aside from dragging out recruiting out of the apparent Stone Age, compared to current top-tier programs, here is what strikes me about these hires. Stout’s dream was to work in LA. He was at the absolute top of the CFB mountain for what it is he does. The National Champions. It wasn’t enough to keep him there. He got an opportunity to work in LA, and he jumped all over it. THAT is one of the things that will always make SC, the special place we all know it to be.

For all the crap people were throwing at Bohn after he decided to keep Clay, it sure as sheet looks like he was the right hire. He has us moving in a direction that no one saw coming. Outstanding.

I'm torn. the Good- proof that we are competing in the arms race. Bad (?) - this is where CFB is. How big do staffs need to be these days?

USC lists 38 people on their coaching/support staff page. That will get to 40 with the two new additions and could go higher. LSU has 51 listed and I don’t believe that includes absolutely everybody on their staff.
