The states of Arizona and Washington seem to have surpassed California for offensive line talent. I might even include the state of Utah. At least at the top tier.

Are any of the three southern California quarterbacks dual threats?

They're all pass-first guys, but they can all run a little bit. Duffy has proven it the most, as he ran for 500 yards and four touchdowns last year. Murphy and Martin just need to get on the field. Both were at Serra last year sitting behind senior Doug Brumfield. All three are good athletes, so mobility isn't an issue, but I don't think they need a zone read system or anything like that to function at the next level.

Erik, your recruiting articles are so awesome and greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Question: does Domani Jackson remind you of Adoree? I know he's bigger but is he close to as fast or athletic?

If Domani isn't at least as fast in a straight line, he's close. Whatever he's been doing this offseason is working. I don't know if there's a California in any class who looks to be in better shape than him. I just don't know if he has the raw athleticism Adoree' had. I think Adoree' could have been introduced to a sport in the morning and become a borderline All-American by early afternoon, so that's no slight to Domani.

I think Adoree' was more of a technician at cornerback at this stage too, as Domani continues to adjust there. Having said that, I think Domani has just as much upside and probably could get to where Adoree' is as a corner.

Wow that's saying a lot Erik. Love your line about Adoree's athleticism. Sure hope SC can get Domani!

The big man shortage in California is perplexing.
