OK. Interesting. I just got today's mail, and guess what?

My daughter got a package from URBAN OUTFITTERS!

I'm taking that as a sign.

I couldn't give a rat's ass about "character" Nowadays, "character" is soooooo overrated to the point of downright hypocrisy. Who effin' cares! Hey, I don't give another rat's ass about "holier than thou" folks either. I sold my soul a loooong time ago when USC got screwed by the "holier than thou" NCAA ass rats and will throw my support 1000% behind Urban Meyer - THE BEST COACH IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL - if USC went all out to bring in Urban.

Character?......Pffffffttt... SO WHAT! JUST WIN THE DAMN FOOTBALL GAMES!

Sheesh, enough with this namby pamby bullcrap...I'm sick of it. It's football, not church...

Stoops would be otherworldly with 'SC talent.

Can we come over to your house and drink all your beer on Saturdays after SC gets the death penalty?

Oh really? football over people how nice

    A little self-awareness SoCal

Also, who's talking about character here? we're talking about history. Get with reality, though given your obsession with Jack Sears. I guess that's hard to ask. lol

Glad you have the luxury of not caring about such things though.

Urban put people over football and it cost him. I think Urban was TOO loyal in some cases and it cost Ohio State and it hurt Urban's reputation with people like some of those here.

Dude, are you a Buckeye fan? or at least a UB fan? So, of course, you'd feel that way, and this is not my opinion based on ESPN.

This is coupled with his past in general and his headaches when trouble arise's.

Ok. Can you give me a specific example of what Urban did at Ohio State that was an unforgivable, horrific offense and how and why Urban was at fault for it? Cue the crickets, right?

You can save yourself some time by taking a look at his posts on this topic. He definitely thinks urban had no fault whatsoever in the situation with Smith and his wife. He flat out called Courtney Smith a liar.

Ohio State hired an outside law firm to investigate the matter and then their report was made public. If Urban is as guilty as you seem to think he is, why then wasn't Urban fired? Why is he still employed by the university to this day?

Some of you guys seem to believe that, if a player or a coach makes a mistake, that he should be thrown out of the program and ostracized from college football for life. I doubt that you want your employer to hold you to that same standard.

Urban > Helton....end of story if you want to win National Championships

I’m not here to defend Urban’s Actions or InAction....but don’t for one minute think that all the Sabans, Dabos, etc. of the College Football world are Clean and/or Moral. They are just better with “perception” and having enablers looking the other way, ie NCAA and their Athletic Departments.

We know what the Nice guy gets you..some 5-7 seasons as well as making a storied program barely relevant

The question is “do you want to dance with the devil or not?!

There are other coaches to invest in when Helton is gone

I won't waste any more of my time discussing the issue with you, I saw your point of view the last time you attempted to defend the indefensible. Slobber him if you want. I don't want him at USC and that isn't going to change.
I have yet to see any information to suggest that either Saban or Dabo have taken themselves to the level of Meyer. Saban took sark on which was a surprise but sark seems to be off the booze/xanax, so.

    No.

Of course not, because you have no argument. As stated, an investigation was performed by a highly respected, outside law firm and they could not find any instance of Urban "looking the other way" or "enabling" Zach Smith and, let's be clear, there is ZERO evidence that Zach ever touched his wife while at Ohio State. When Zach was arrested for violating a restraining order that prevented him from going to his wife's house (which he did to pick up his kids), he was immediately fired.

Urban is a total sleazeball. I don’t think that’s even a debate. The question is whether his talents are worth the sleaze? For me it’s no.
