I happened to be on BRO (Other Sports) where I checked out a message related to new incoming (current team) members on the track squad. There are some very impressive sprinters coming into the UCLA program this year. Check this out:

    400- 47.09

    CHISTIAN MOORE
    100- 10.47
    200- 21.12

    MYLES MISENER-DALEY
    100- 10.49
    200- 21.17
    400- 45.71

    300 H- 37.82

    CHRISTIAN GRUBB (football)

    KEEGAN JONES
    100- 10.57
    200- 21.10
    LJ- 23-11.25

    CHASE WELLS
    100- 10.74
    200- 21.59
    400- 47.70

    KAZMEIR ALLEN
    100- 10.32

    KENROY HIGGINS (sophomore)
    100- 10.46

    SETH HOLLOWAY (sophomore)
    100- 10.37
    200- 21.08

    HARRISON SCHRAGE (senior)
    LJ- 25-4.5
    100- 10.47
    200- 21.35

    MYLES WEBB (junior)
    100- 10.4
    200- 21.20

Of particular interest on the Men is Myles Misener-Daley who has run a 45.71 4oo. Also on the Women, notice Shae Anderson (transfer from Oregon), whom Coach Caryl and Staff recruited heavily. The Bruins will be tough with these new sprinters, coupled with their normal strengths in the throws, jumps and distance events.

I saw Shae run as a senior at CIF Southern Section finals. Makes me laugh now. USC did recruit her but her dad ran track for ucla. Both parents wanted her at ucla. At the time, it was all about Oregon being the right fit and having the right major. Now it's all about ucla having been her dream school. I'm guessing they didn't pursue her that year....she was a late-season commit. But as a middle-distance runner, USC wouldn't have been able to offer her much money, if any at all. Whoregon probably gave her everything.
