Ben Griffiths was named first-team punter

“The 28-year-old Griffiths was an eight-year veteran in the Australian Football League before coming over to punt for the Trojans. In his first season doing so, he posted the second-best punt grade in college football, at 92.1, and a 4.41-second average hangtime.“

Alijah Vera-Tucker was named second-team offensive guard, behind Ohio State’s Wyatt Davis.

Imagine if Davis (SJB HS) had come to USC. Clay could've had two of the best OG's in the nation. Instead of a perceived weakness, the OL would be viewed in a entirely different light. When you include Austin Jackson, we're talking about 3 top NFL draft picks in a two-year span. Would've went a long way in tilting the recruiting balance at offensive line.

How about Penei Sewell in the 2018 class? Jackson, AVT, Neilon, Davis, Sewell along the line last year.

All that recruiting success and Clay would've kept Callaway as OL coach. And Tee as OC. Hilariously bad decisions.
