I think his line didn't perform as well as we fans would have liked given the talent, but he was also fighting against this horrific culture that was so different from the one he played in. It must have been an uphill battle all the way to get his guys ready to play with such soft practices, and low expectations of performance.

It’s tough for defensive coaches to do their job when the HC doesn’t believe in tackling in practices. And KU snd Colbert are coaches who have experience with real practices (under PC).
