It was like a cliche - bottom of the 9th, two out, two strikes, fouls off several pitches to work to a full count, then hits it out. Damn. The positive was Nootbaar. Two triples and a double. I went to SC in the mid '70s. NC's almost every year. Very sad to see what's happened to the program.
