University of Arkansas Coach Eric Musselman landed former Miami (Fla.) guard and graduate transfer Chris Lykes.
Lykes, 5-7, 160 pounds, narrowed his list to Arkansas and Southern California before selecting the Razorbacks. He is the No. 6 transfer available, according to Busting Brackets. The Athletic lists him at No. 30.

A quick 5-foot-7 guard, Chris Lykes averaged 15.4 points per game as a junior in the 2019-20 season and 16.2 points per game as a sophomore the year before, leading the Hurricanes in scoring both of those seasons.
He was a first-team preseason All-ACC choice before getting injured early in the past season.
The electric 5-7 guard was named preseason All-ACC and expected to have a standout senior season. But he sprained his ankle the second game of the season and never played again. As a junior, he was All-ACC honorable mention with 15.4 points per game and he averaged 16.2 points as a sophomore.
He scored 1,256 points for UM and made 165 three-pointers.

 

Ha! Glad we didn’t land him. That would definitely lower our top standing as the tallest team in the nation...;)

Drake transfer Joseph Yesufu said USC, Kansas, Wisconsin and Nebraska have also now reached out, in addition to Arizona State and Minnesota One of the best pure scorers I’ve watched in college. USC saw that first-hand in the NCAA Tournament.
Scored 20+ in the NCAA tourney against both Wichita State and USC.

Former South Alabama guard Michael Flowers, the top available scorer in college basketball's transfer portal, has committed to play at Washington State next season, he announced Saturday.

Flowers said he picked Washington State from a list of schools that included Arkansas, USC, Miami, Texas A&M, Florida, Colorado and Marquette.

One of the top remaining Portal PG's is Boogie Ellis who entered the transfer portal from Memphis. When he was originally being recruited in 2018, he has SC in his top 5 and was a 4 * top 40 player. He then committed to Duke, decommitted and signed with Memphis. He is from San Diego. It would be nice to have some Boogie at PG.

I’ve heard SC has interest but I don’t know the status. Also, Andy told me shortly after the Elite 8 loss that much of what people read is more speculation than fact re players in the portal and where they may land, so hard to know if SC is actively pursuing Ellis or the interest level on either side.

I read that ASU and SDSU are involved with Boogie. Hopefully so are we.

 

Mac McClung in Portal again after SC was one of his final schools last year before he chose Texas Tech (from Georgetown). 2020-21 stats: 15.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 2.1 apg. Big time scorer who would be a huge pick-up.

 

He would be a nice replacement for Eaddy.

 

Boogie Ellis coming in? How does everyone feel about that?

I think Allen would be a great addition. But after this past season I will defer to Enfield on transfer portal matters.

 

Coach is getting talented and team oriented players with high character. No complaints here.
We will have a very experienced team next year with a mix of talented FR. (IM and White are still undecided on staying.)

You have each players academic year correct, but eligibility wise the four you list as juniors have three years left and Morgan and Couilbaly have four left

 

And Texas is undergoing a coaching change. That choice sounds askew.
