    San Diego (Daygo Prep Football) released its comparisons of the top athletes in San Diego to current/former NFL players . . . and it is outlandish.

    But in addition to there being a few former Trojans on the comparison list, SC has some recruits of interest on their board:

    * RB Kenan Christon of Madison HS has been focusing in on SC and UGLA, with Stanford, Alabama and Notre Dame in the wings. The top 100 and 200 meter sprinter in the S.D. county will take his OVs this Fall in the hopes of verbaling during the season.

    * RB Mac Bingham has committed to USC in baseball as a centerfielder (batted .364 last season), but also ran for almost 1300 yards for Torrey Pines HS.

    * RB Karson Lippert of La Costa Canyon HS is a USC track recruit in the 200 and 400 meter dash who hopes to play football at the next level too.

    Current verbal commits on the list:

    * Don Chapman (Colorado)
    * Jacob Asa Turner (Washington)
    * Brian Driscoll (CAL)
    * Shamar Martin (UGLA)
    * Michael Shawcroft (San Diego St.)

    Top San Diego Players - NFL Comparison

    * Kenan Christon (Madison HS) - RB Reggie Bush
    * Shawn Poma (Cathedral HS) - RB Maurice Jones-Drew
    * Miles Hastings (San Marcos HS) - QB Matt Ryan
    * Kyrin Beachem (Oceanside HS) - QB Lamar Jackson
    * Mac Bingham (Torrey Pines HS) - RB Christian McCaffrey
    * Jacob Asa Turner (Carlsbad HS) - LB Clay Matthews
    * Don Chapman (Lincoln HS) - Safety Tony Jefferson
    * Daniel Stokes (Madison HS) - WR Steve Smith
    * Karson Lippert (La Costa Canyon HS) - RB Lesean McCoy
    *Josh McCurty (Eastlake HS) - LB Brian Cushing
    * Noah Saulo (Madison HS) - NT Haloti Ngata
    * Quin Roff (San Marcos HS) - DE Jared Allen
    * Michael Shawcroft (Helix HS) - Safety Troy Polamalu
    * Brian Driscoll (Torrey Pines HS) - OL Joe Thomas
    * Shamar Martin (Morse HS) - CB Marcus Peters

    LOL, yes, kind of a silly list, to be frank.

    Maybe they should try and compare them to a few decent college players first. There maybe 2-3 USC level kids in there, at best.

    Christon would be a serious addition to the RB corp, and special teams.

    Not all of the offensive possessions can be 12 play drives . . . gotta have a player who can put up a score in a flash.

    Question on Karson Lippert. Has he committed to SC for track or is he still being recruited?

    Think he has run 46.9 in the 400 with another year to go. He has a little brother who's very good too.

    This still may be too soon, but as soon as I read this, I thought of De’Anthony Thomas.
    Damn that kid was fast as hell!
    Too bad he hasn’t panned out in the NFL yet.

    SC is still recruiting Lippert for track.

    A real shame he injured himself just before the Calif. state finals this year . . . his PR in the low 46.9 would have won the 400 meter state title.

    His little brother, Aiden, will be faster.
