Great win on Saturday vs the Devils, but Coach Helton needs a new phrase. #94 Rasheem was dominant and #23 Lockett as well. Justin Davis needs at least 20 carries a game & Sam Darnold is fantastic. JuJu can carry this team if they give him the opportunity. Just keep getting him the ball! Fight On!

This game was a tough read. The outcome of course was great. Once we got momentum and confidence...then the talent shines. But our talent is fickle...it's dependent...it relies on momentum.

The start of the game was rough...losing yardage on run plays, OL blocking was bad. Once Darnold willed us to some 1st downs and handled the lack of pocket...then things opened up. Once the passing game was clicking and Darnold hit some soft spots in the defense (read-option to the pop-pass to Burnett), then the run game opened up.

If Darnold is not mobile enough to leave the pocket when it starts to collapse (Max isn't), then the offense sputters. If Darnold is not athletic/fast enough to execute the read-option screen pass out wide to Juju (like Max can't), then the offense sputters.

Bottom line, the only difference is what Darnold brings to the table, and how the talent responds to him moving the chains. Go back to Max and all that goes away. Not because Max is bad, but because Max is not a fit for the weak OL we have. Max needs a dominant OL to allow him the time for his style of play.

Whenever someone says, "To be honest with you", I immediately question the veracity of anything they have ever said before. Have you been lying to me -- now a need to clarify that THIS TIME you are being forthright?

It's almost as bad as the comment that some people make after they assert something: "No really -- I swear to God". Why are those words even spoken? If you didn't swear, your words weren't binding?

It's a verbal tic that is annoying and meaningless.

    Actually agree with Vargas.

Team plays great against teams that aren't mentally tough and disciplined.

Great win but still not conviced this staff knows what they are doing
