Does anyone still think Thornton is a starting pg in the pac12? Weaver is sooo much better. Shows the value of a pg.

You've had 4 posts so far and 3 have been negative towards Derryck Thornton.

Sheesh, SC has had 2 full games and have played one half against Stetson. As the season goes on SC will need Thornton, Weaver and Matthews to all move over and be the primary ball handler at times.

Guess you weren’t watching last year. Point is we have too much talent to be that bad at pg and Enfield needs to realize this.

Last year? Really? I guess you’ve forgotten Jordan McLaughlin dominated the minutes at the point for SC last year!

If I recall, Derryck got hurt early in the year and missed multiple games. When he did play, he had to knock the rust off after sitting out a year after transferring from Duke.

So he’s had the whole year to “knock the rust off” and he’s the same player as he was last year. Loses the ball in traffic in the key. Dribbles with his head down so can’t run pick and roll. Turns his back to the ball repeatedly on defense and at the same time loses track of his man. Basically dribbles too much so the offense stagnates. Watch how well the offense flows when weaver is in. Just saying he’s more a 2 guard, but we have better 2 guards on our team.
