They can do a "better job" by getting out of the way.

I know I’m in the vast minority, but I believe JDR would kill it here. I compare him to Orgeron, but better. He’d out work all other coaches in recruiting, is extremely personable and would sell USC like no other. He’s a great DC. He F’ing killed it in the NFL at both stops as a DC in Carolina and Denver.

Much like Orgeron and PC, he just needs to hire a great OC, and oversee the Def.

Pure speculation. USC needs to hire an outsider. This inbreeding is simply that, and leads to crappy outcomes.

Seattle, I think you might be right about JDR. I also think alums would burn the school if he were ever hired - but he could actually be great for USC. We would have killed for him post Kiffin, and post Cutty...

Don’t understand why they would burn the school down for JDR

And yet every clamored for Orgeron. I believe JDR is a much better coach

I think they might burn it if anyone but Meyer is hired. I personally think Meyer is an amoral turd who will drag us into the mud - 41 arrests at Florida, Aaron Hernandez a quadruple murderer, a wife beating assistant about whom he lied - and these are just the things he we know about. Ruhle, Fickell, Campbell would all be better - and yes I think JDR would be too...

(Okay, Campaign, I'll give 'er a go) Hey come to Clovis! It's totally desirable because we've got a great school district, Big Hat Days, the Rodeo, semi-affordable housing and about 6, err, 5... um, 4 months of really good weather. Plus we're right next to Fresno (cherry on top). We'll be seeing y'all soon!

San Jose was never a desirable place to be. Growing up in LA, no one ever spoke about San Jose. It was a nothing place. The only reason you heard of it is the song. It's only marginally better now (if higher prices can make a nothing place better). Make sure you learn Hindi and Mandarin.
