I think they were #3 in AP poll preseason and #2 coaches poll preseason.
They have not had 2 page injury updates either, this year I believe we had to hire an extra assistant just to type out those reports......They were humbled by BC last night whom ND beat down also...

It does make me feel better when other teams share some of what we have been feeling. I only wish the furd had gone down to the Beavs

I thought injuries are an excuse. Wasn't the backup highly recruited? Why didn't the coaches have him ready to play? :-)

It is true that we overrate success and failure. Helton in not a great coach, but I don't think he sucks, either. Not to the level that the board thinks. I, too, think we need a premier coach to run the organization but he is a stabilizer after the trainwrecks of Kiffin and Sark. Helton will be here next year. hopefully he recruits well and if he is mediocre then Swann will pull the plug with no embarrassment or conjecture. Coaches in big programs generally have 3 years to make their teams elite for the long haul. If not they are gone. If Helton is fired after this season, it does not set-up well for the next coaching search. If you are thinking big picture, let Helton ride his 3.5 years and call it a career at SC.

Exactly - Sam limping off against ND was a scary moment - if Sam was down right now 6-6 might be a very real possibility.

FSU's problem is players have basically quit on the team. The QB is also a true freshman. Their Oline play was horrific to begin with. They have the same problem that we have. FSU is soft...
