LOL. Those aren't even the examples that come to mind. I'm talking about Elite 11 camps, throwing his teammates and coaches under the bus in post game interviews, etc. etc. Take off the urine and baby blue shades and call a spade a spade. Why do you think so many NFL teams are wary of his personality? They are afraid of Jay Cutler 2.0.

Tired narratives. An elite 11 camp comment that dilfer walked back. Save the douchebag drivel for guys like Todd McNair. Nobody that matters in the NFL cares what happened in high school.

The Cactus Bowl might not mean anything to Josh Rosen, but what about his teammates playing in their last competitive football game?

Considering expectations, probably not much. Considering Rosen is popular on the team, it's not an issue for them apparently. The Mora era ended poorly and it's time to move forward

If Rosen doesn't play in the Cactus Bowl, I can't blame him. Even if the doctors clear him for the game, I wouldn't blame him for not playing. He's been in concussion protocol since the Cal game. That's over a month. With what we know about concussions and CTE, I wouldn't blame him for giving himself a bit more time to heal. And even though I know exactly zero bruin football players, I doubt that his teammates would either.

He's also never won a bowl game. You would think he would want a chance to redeem himself on that one... But I guess he's afraid he could not win anyway.

Because you didn't ask for it, I give you the Josh Rosen Drinking Game:

    1. At the start of the game, the person in the room with the largest nose gets called "The Chosen One". He or she must drink a shot. Then, the Chosen status rotates around the room with each new opportunity to drink—whomever it lands on has to drink an extra shot.

    2. Drink a shot the first time they show Rosen standing on the sidelines. Drink it all the way to the bottom—finishing it (in stark contrast to the subject of said drinking game).

    3. Drink 2 if Rosen has his hands in his pockets, or the pockets of his jacket or hoodie.

    4. Take a drink (all the way, now, don't pull a Rosen!) every time thereafter that they show him.

    5. Take a drink if the announcers mention that he's predicted to be a top-5 draft pick.

    6. Drink two shots if they show Rosen on the sideline "coaching up" whomever the Bruins have in there as their starting quarterback.

By the end of the night, whomever can still stand is the winner.

Josh Rosen is warming up and wants to play, Feldman reporting that the medical staff won't clear him

That's akin to the drunk taking wild swings (and whiffs) at someone all the while hoping/praying that his buddy keeps "holding him back."

I really don't think Rosen wants to play. The concussion protocol is just a convenient excuse not to IMO.

I think he wants to play, I think he's being advised to not play.

This thread is amazing - it sort of reminds me of Derek Carr’s two minute drill last night.

As a football fan I wanted to see him play.

Hope it’s a good game regardless.

So why the hell is he dressed? Just to save face? This whole thing is so bogus --- NO! he really really wants to play! LOOK -- he's wearing his little uniform! Such heart! Such passion -- if only those unreasonable doctors would just take the handcuffs off and let him go for it.

Dude is getting mocked for crapping-out on his team, so his response is to put his uniform on? You know, just in case, at some point DURING the game the doctors change their minds? What a jackass. He's just trying to save face.

If you are playing, that's 7 shots already, and the game hasn't even kicked off.

And an 8th shot for the rotating "Chosen One", which means that everyone pretty much is already piss-faced unless you've got about 40 people in the room.

Maybe one last concussion protocol test in the hopes he is cleared?

Edit - That's what ESPN reported. Had until 30 minutes to game time to get cleared.

If he’s got a history of head problems of a physical nature then maybe he’s not the best person to spend a high draft pick on.
