The Chosen One passes on Cactus Bowl

Thank you for pointing out the ridiculous line in the sand of when you can "leave" your teammates with eligibility left. They obviously want him at the game, otherwise he would be at home, but good for him for showing up despite not being cleared to play. I knew we could get you to the point where you can hold an adult conversation with the rest of us! Merry christmas!

IMO, ucla has a chance to beat a quality team if Rosen plays and the team as a whole plays hard. Does going after a W like that not mean anything, or are the bruins content simply getting “reps”? I call BS to your whole diatribe above and believe that you all want to win just as much as we Trojans do. My Bruin friends certainly do.

Sure I would like to see a win, I just shake my head at some of UCLA's rivals hysterics about Rosen not playing. The bowl game practices are more valuable for a program than this bowl game itself is.

I think if the game meant something, he would be playing. The Cotton Bowl means something, the Cactus Bowl doesn't. I buy the theory if he wanted to play, he would be cleared. Only a douchebag attacks a guy with a concussion, so he will likely get a pass, since I'm no doctor. His dad probably has enough medical resources at his disposal to make a pretty smart call going forward.

I’m having a hard time believing you; it really sounds like you’re rationalizing. What I do believe is that ucla is going to get embarrassed on national tv and that it will be rosen’s legacy.

 

Believe what you want. Thats the beauty of the internet, we can read or believe anything despite what other people say or do. The game is with an interim coach who is not going to be kept on and the DC is supposedly going to retire. A win would be nice but unexpected. Of course, last time we faced KSU, people thought we would lose to a much more physical team and won, so perhaps I'll be surprised. Either way I will be watching and hoping for the win.

Fair enough. As a football fan (beyond just being a Trojan homer), I do wish Rosen would play. Would be an epic game were he to play.

Thinks he's smarter and better than everyone else around him - including coaches. Maybe he'll grow up - who knows. But this is just one more confirmation of "He is who he is". And, yes, I would say the same thing if any SC player pulled this type of stunt.
