Socal we have them too we just prefer to bench them and go with 3 undersized slot receivers. Stanford gets a 6 foot 7 TE and they start him. We get a 6 foot 7 Cary Angeline and he sits and is used sparingly.

    Garry,

I know its early but what order would you put these 3 offensive groups in terms of team strength right now?

    WR Group
    TE Group
    RB group

I would have to think that the defense plans on having a jumbo package to counter the Stanford jumbo. Frustrating to watch Stanford run out 3 tight ends and extra lineman and we are playing base defense.

    Garry,

    I have a recruiting question.

I think this team is badly missing a dominant edge rusher? We need guys with true double digit sack potential. I'm thinking either someone speedy like a Tim Williams or a Power guy like a Jonathan Allen. Right now we seem to be counting on converted LB's to fill that role and it shows. Not to be disrespectful to our guys that are working hard but pass rushing is an art form some guys just are. I really believe if you are going to get to a NC game you cannot have this liability.

My question is: Are there any pure pass rushers available in the 2018 that could fill this role?

    Gary,
Any thoughts on how the defense was possibly held back by not wanting to give Stanford as much info for this weeks' game? Even though they should have plenty of tape from last season.

Will there be any major changes for Saturday's offense, can we expect it to be more run focused? They seemed to go away from running after first drive for a large part of game and hopefully it was to give receiving corps and Sam more game time since they seemed to be out of sync.

Thus proving how we don't love our tall tight ends.

Wouldn`t KU be more effective down on the field rather up in the booth?Any thoughts about using both Gustin and Smith as LB`s in some situations for Stanford.

I noticed the majority of snaps from Nico Falah were high and caused Sam to reach up high or even jump for them. Is this intentional? It seems that this should be a correctable skill execution. It could be intentional to freeze the defense reaction but what do you think?

    their tight end the other
    night? Just saying.

What's the thinking behind giving Vavae his first two college carries up by only 4 points with 4 minutes left in the game? It was the first plays of the drive-shouldn't Rojo or Carr be in if they're healthy?

Why don't you, JJ and Pete Arbogast do a Podcast version of the old Trojan Brunch that everyone loved to listen to on Sunday morning after USC games?

If Rice played Western Michigan this week, what do you think the score would be?

yes, this was alarming, small thing I noticed was that Tyler Vaughns dropped the first pass, didn't have gloves on (seen this in practice too) then wore gloves rest of the game. Stuff like this you figure out in warm up, unless you have some weather pop up that makes for the change. Sidney came in and made the most of his one chance...I hope JI and Lewis get some reps this week and come to play.

How does our DLine look compared to last year. And, how does it look in the trenches between us and Stanford vs. last year. Will we be more outmanned in the lines than 2016?
