Slovis puts too much air on the ball? Shaw disagrees.

Let's just say, I'm surprised he's still allowed to post here with some of the stuff he's said on here. But I don't own the site.

I have no reason to disbelieve you, TFH. We should all definitely keep it to football.

First all I could, care less about what you think of my posting, I don’t make long draw out posts and analysis here, so what you get is sound bites. We have enough arm chair experts. Most of what a I say here is tongue and cheek. You seem particularly uptight so I wouldn’t expect you to get it.

Secondly, I didn’t make this thread to bait and insult certain posters. You did. Physician heal thyself.

Thirdly, you could just left it alone, but you bumped it for some unknown reason and two days after the fact.

Finally, liking the slander that firehouse posted shows that you do not have the higher moral ground that I’m sure you think you have. People of your ilk always feel morally and intellectually superior; where within that hubris lies the folly.

I’m done with this and you. Have a great rest of the season.

This response is an example. On other boards, profane/ad hominem attacks are immediate grounds for a minimum two-week vacation from the board.

    HTH.

Was mine ad hominem or his? Is it the word or intent? You’re one of those guys that prefers passive aggressiveness to squaring beefs directly. Is that the case? Is my post worse than firehouse. I never even post to that dude. He’s been irrelevant to my experience here.

Garry’s philosophy was the board patrols itself, and it always has worked.

A simple "Really, what that might be?" would've sufficed IMO.

    Be best.

For that guy? Hardly. Let's be honest what I post on the football board is fairly innocuous and no worse than any other posters. These guys like firehorse have issues from the old OT days and hold a grudge. Its that simple. For them, its always politics.

That is the opinion of almost anyone who went to practices
That was the opinion of Harrell who all but announced him the second commingling, "he has more talent than any QB I have ever seen"
That may be the opinion of all neutral parties not enmeshed in alt-truth therapy.
But not the opinion of those with a vividly exposed anti-Helton bias.
The QB depth chart announcement was a true come-to-jesus moment for the biased.

He just needs to master the lookoff pump fake like Leinart used to do. He was really good at freezing the defenders to get his guy open.

There is debate about that. I assumed as you do but a few people who know more than I do about the Air Raid (not too hard to find them) say that the Air Raid does not look off anyone. As soon as the ball is snapped the QB knows where he is going to throw it based on the defensive alignment. I guess this means that the air-raid avoids plays where the safety can hurt them. I really don't know.
Not me saying this but others and they could be right. I have yet to make up my mind.

Wondered this same thing. The AR was advertised as a "No Brainer" read where it was obvious where to throw, but I have not seen that to always be the case.

Many times, the play breaks down and Slovis was on his 2nd/3rd read. How can that be, if he's supposed to have the ball out on the "obvious read"...quickly?

I'm thinking there's always room for improvisation; otherwise, he'd never tuck & run the ball.

    13:30 2nd quarter
ball is snapped and on the fly to the place that he "and" the receiver knew was the spot.
I have to assume that if the corner back jumped it he (Solvis) would have had to look elsewhere or run it or whatever.
So I would not know if he needs to work on looking-off his receiver or not.
    Mystifying stuff

You shouldn't post your real face on the forum, some people might use that against you.
