    That doesn't look like a donkey. I would say a bear cub or maybe a chipmunk

    Then go social distance from this website. No one wants you here. All you do is cause arguments and complain.

    You would fit in perfectly on Reddit.

    Depends on why you are asking the question. If it is political in nature as to the Pac-12 and USC Admin people the answer is HELL YES.

    But if the question would have been about our preparedness and reputation the answer is HELL NO. We were spared another season of embarrassment and humiliation at the hands of our Western Kentucky minded ground hog of a coach, and as such he escaped yet another epic beat down by Saban. So we will have started out at #17 and depending on how many playing teams lose we may or may not be ranked come January after his best year and undefeated season.

    Yup, best we sit on the sideline and get our shit together before going out and embarrassing ourselves again.

    As for SoCal's assertions here, try this;
    https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm

    Historically influenza deaths in the US have broken down per this CDC tabulation;

    15-24 y/o are 80 deaths per 100,000 population, 25-34yrs 102/100K and 35-44 yrs it's 194/100K, and 45-54yrs 427/100K, and 55-64yrs 910/100K, and 65-74yrs 2,165/100K

    With today's aging population of that's right in the 40,000 P&I deaths per year range. The reason they use the word "estimate" is due to the fact that reporting is not mandatory and they make revisions to previously reported numbers as new death cert data comes in. Just like the DoC "estimates" GDP growth, with its three revisions.

    Think of it another way; take all the deaths per year pre-COVID and subtract all the non influenza deaths and what do you have left? approx 35-40,000

    Hahaha. I was reminded of that Geico commercial where Pinocchio was a motivational speaker.

    "YOU have great potential!"

    "Uh, uh, YOU have potential!
    [Nose grows again]

    Obviously if the rest of the country plays will no real downside effect, the western states are going to look like a bunch of partisan asshats. We absolutely need a change of philosophical and political heart out here.

    Interestingly in 20/20 hindsight it turns out the USC players are some of the ones that promulgated change. I was happy to see we have some fighters on the team. I am surprised there has been no vitriol in response. How dare these kids confront the media and our governor! They should stay in their rooms and cower in fear. I guess we can leave BRAVE in our anthem for a little bit longer. You might say that certainly the BIG10 showed the way but I think CA has a very different view than the midwest and it took some strong young men to show just a little bit of fight.

    The survival rate for 0-19 yr olds is 99.997%...20-49 yr olds is 99.98%.
    Only 6% of the deaths are Covid only....94% have comorbidities.
    These are CDC numbers.
