As they say in the law, it's a facts and circumstances test. The facts justify firing Helton. The obvious lack of good coaching which was plainly evident to anyone watching the Holiday Bowl speaks for itself. The growing list of other justifications is known by everyone on this board.

Oklahoma had a much better year than USC. They deserved to be ranked #4. LSU is the best team in the country, and playing REALLY well, unlike USC.

At the risk of being redundant, WE ARE SC. It's not just the name of this site. It's an attitude and an expectation. We expect winning football. It's part of USC's brand. There are lots of schools without football that have credible academics (ignoring political correctness for the moment). If the USC coaches and administration can't deliver winning football, USC is not the school for them. Simple. Clear. How it is.

    Let’s see here...

Losing to the fucking 6th place B1G team by 25 fucking points in the ShitStain bowl.

    OR

Being a Power 5 conference champion, being 1 of only 4 teams to make the College Football Playoff, but losing to the far-and-away best team in College Football and eventual National Champion.

Golly, what a dilemma. What an appropriate comparison

    Fucking dipshit.

It wasn't just losing Mr Unable to Fuck dipshit. A very good team that should be prepared doesn't simply lose to any team by 35 without a slew of mistakes and errors. Btw where was your gracious understanding when Pac 12 champ USC was beat by Ohio State or the following year when defeated on the road by Alabama?

You're equating Lincoln Riley's proficiency as a coach with Clay Helton, which is obviously your first mistake. Lincoln Riley is a genuin offensive guru and the same will never be said for Helton. Riley had great success at ECU which made him a valuable commodity to power 5 programs. Oklahoma scooped him up and smartly made him Stoops successor. He consistently manages to get his teams to the playoffs, and despite not winning, he gives his team a chance to win just by being there. Helton has never been successful at any level. He has never sniffed the playoffs and never will. He obviously cannot coach at this level and it is a travesty that USC continues to allow him to remain employed by the university.

Riley's probably in a bad way this morning. Why don't you fly to Norman and give him the same rim job you give Clay. I'm sure he would appreciate it. An Oklahoma ass crack would be a nice change of pace for you.

I am dead sure there are Okie message boarders today calling for Riley's head on a platter. That's just what keyboard warriors do: they fire coaches, get new ones to criticize, then fire them, too. Remember, Dabo was Charles Manson to Clemson fans in Year 3. It is what it is...

Lol....you are indirectly admitting that USC has regressed these past two seasons with your statement. Which is more than just cause for showing him the door. Instead, you seem absolutely content on riding his dick. Why? Is it really that good?

This should be easy by looking at the last 3 years (Riley has been Oklahoma's HC the past three years)

    2017 W-L USC 11-3 Okla 12-2 2017 points f/a USC 456/366 Okla 632/379
    2018 W-L USC 5-7 Okla 12-2 2018 points f/a USC 313/324 Okla 677/466
    2019 W-L USC 8-5 Okla 12-2 2019 points f/a USC 422/382 Okla 590/382

    Total W-L USC 24-15 Okla 36-6

Conf Titles USC 1 Okla 3

    CFP USC 0 Okla 3

So our average season the last three years under Clay Helton is 8-5; Oklahoma's the last three under Lincoln Riley is 12-2
Helton wins our conference once in three years; Riley wins Oklahoma's every year
Helton has never led USC to the CFP; Riley has led Oklahoma there every year

The average game for USC ends 30-27: The average game for Oklahoma ends 49-31

So Oklahoma wins way more games every year, wins their conference every year, makes the College Football Playoff every year

Maybe that's why they aren't calling for Lincoln Riley's head. Because he is simply a much better and more successful head coach than Clay Helton.

Should Humiliating Losses Twice in Season Openers Result in Immediate Firing of Head Coach? Alabama is up next for Helton.

I can’t decide if cumquench4everIQ8.1 is a troll or Helton’s wife or suffering from head trauma. We made Iowa look like LSU. LSU would hang 100 on USC. OU would hang 70.

Missy Angela is still trying to recover from her less than Christian meltdown on SC fans calling for her fat lazy bum loser husbands head while losing to the 6th place Big10 team by 50

Your post continue to degrade, from pathetic to insufferable. You actually sound better when Helton's D*CK is in your mouth.
To compare Lincoln Riley, a coach who has made the playoffs in all 3 years of coaching, to the most inept, clowish, lost coach of any Power 5 team is a ridiculous reach, even for an ignorant fool like you.
I suppose you are just dumb enough to believe Helton's lies about getting better, and how bright the future is. You poor pathetic bastard. You really need professional help.

Don't forget- Helton is 13-13 in his last 26 games.

God you are stupid. You simply don't know how to compare apples to apples. Lincoln Riley has been in the playoff three straight years. Nick Saban got blown out in the natty last year, I don't need to go over his resume. Urban Meyer got blown out by Clemson, I don't need to go over his resume, Mark Dantonio got blown out in the playoff, I don't need to go over his resume. There are a lot of good/great coaches who get blown out, the part that you don't see is that those coaches are coaching in playoff games, Helton just got blown out in the Holiday bowl.

    Cue the superman meme.

    1. This is something you could verify yourself by lurking Sooner message boards today (without asking this board)
    2. If the answer is "yes" - that's their issue. Pretty sure there aren't many Sooner fans here
    3. If you are implying a connection (you didn't actually state a connection) I would say there is none between Riley's situation today and Helton's. OK was down several players due to disciplinary actions and played the best team in the country (maybe second-best, we'll see). Riley has sent the Sooners (the team we used to truck in bowl games) to several CFP semi-finals, coached two of the last three Heismans (with the runner-up this year), and has had dramatically more success than we have seen over the last three years. If we played LSU, the point differential would be worse.
