I have provided the analysis you refer to but you and other closed minded haters on this board do not like it so some of you either don't acknowledge it or you retort with childish name calling, insults and homophobic sexual innuendos.

So tell us again then. I don't think you have offered any facts whatsoever to back your view. So prove me and all the others saying that same thing wrong. Make the case for Clay Helton being the right coach for USC here and now. Not the case against firing him which is the only case I've seen you make - and pretty weakly btw.

Okay. Then answer VBall's questions. You ask to be taken seriously and her questions were asked in good faith.

I might be a sunshine pumper......2019 class is an anomaly imo....a recruiting for need with only 18-19 spots ...the need you might say are the trenches and since California lack of 5/4 stars on DL/OL and most south linemen stay in the south.......remember top 10 since Helton is our coach ......we all know we lost 2 or 3 top talent but non in a position of need....and we really dont know the reason.....one thing im going say is Nike money is in play ....im expecting lots of hate but fan and fanatic 2 different monsters

USC will get blown out by Alabama and Helton will not be fired. He will praise the coaches and himself, go home and watch tape.

We all hope that happens. Nobody seriously wants USC to lose - ever.

But what is the likelihood of that realistically. We're gonna get waxed by Bama, we should beat New Mexico pretty easily, Stanford's 50-50 up in Palo Alto even this year and probably Utah away (possibly on a Thursday or Friday night)and they'll only be too happy to take out this year on us there.

So we're looking a 1-3 or maybe 2-2 start, with an 0-2 or maybe 1-1 conference start. Still have Oregon (definite loss) , Arizona (possible loss), and UCLA (lost there two years ago) away, with Colorado (easiest conference win of the season), Cal (second easiest conference win) Arizona State (likely win but ASU can beat us), Washington (50-50) and Notre Dame (another 50-50).

So if we play as have the past two years maybe 8-4 is the optimistic finish, with 4-8 as the pessimistic finish with 6-6 or 7-5 as the realistic expectation.

I saw in an “early prediction” article about a week ago predicting USC to start the season ranked #11. Love to know what they were smoking....

That #11 ranking is probably a shill to help out Alabama's ranking after they maul SC.

100% positive he’ll think of something.
And then post it, again and again, day after soul crushing day.

There is actually a strong case that can be made that firing the head coach while promoting an assistant to take over for the interim would bring the team together and could give SC a boost for the rest of the season. There are many instances where an interim coach has outperformed his expectations because the players put in a little extra. We have seen it before with Coach O. Obviously there is also the argument for the opposite. Whether you support Helton or not everyone knows he is on his last straw, I think getting blown out by Alabama would warrant firing him and seeing what can happen.

I think that if he gets fired after Alabama or during the season it would help recruiting because the recruits would at least know that the new incoming coach would be there for a minimum of 3 yrs hopefully longer. There wouldn't be this uncertainty we are dealing with now.

If Helton wants to save his job beat Alabama simple as that.

This thread subject is so silly and a waste of time. Rather than quantifying the state of the program and the utter futility in hoping that Helton will somehow deliver us back into national prominence based on the last couple seasons' performance/recruiting; the OP insists on dumping propaganda and cherry-picking certain posters' extreme takes then refuting them purely based on how unattractive they'd be.

    • OK...so..."tarmacing" a coach is not a good look, not ideal. Alrighty then, thanks for that. Glad we established that.

So rather than debating whether "tarmacing" Helton after Bama would hurt/help SC more in the longrun...can we just acknowledge the simple fact that the state of our program under which we're even debating whether to "tarmac" our coach after the 1st game of the season clearly shows how sorry of program we have and just how far away from prominence we are?

Can we just focus on that for a bit and level-set? Only after that reality-check, can we then possibly debate scenarios and hypotheticals...

The rest of this nonsense is either just namecalling the OP, trying to pin him/they down to substance or just venting.

Geez that's a good looking trophy. Coach has to hold it close to his body to avoid dropping it.

Ever see the FIFA World Cup Championship Trophy? Lol.

The Super Big Gulp Cup at 7-11 is bigger. That's some weak BS.
