Please note the transfers and returning "would have been transfers" It would seem that we are not being dismissed, as many have thought. Once again we seem to have attracted a depth of talent.....Something is going on........Something good....!

    I hope you are right

And I am rooting for an epic turnaround and for the Clay Helton years as another golden period ... with a 5-7 season just taking the lumps

But I gotta tell ya I’m not sold and I’m highly skeptical

New approach to Spring camp. It felt different on HJ. Think Bru’s old MD teammates kept him up to date. Old S&C selling team how Pete teams worked. SC will be tested early

With a high powered offense, they should have no trouble beating that spread.

I agree. I am thinking 48-31 or something like that with Fresno St's last score occurring in garbage time.

Our issue has never been landing elite recruits.
Our issue has been developing the elite recruits and string them together to produce elite seasons where we win the PAC-12 South, PAC-12 Conference and a New Year’s Six Bowl game or our 1st CFP appearance.

That is when I will believe USC is “back” again.
That 2016 season which Browne was benched for Darnold was an exception to the rule.
I was all-in and thought we were back then 2017 was a bust, we lost all of our thoroughbreds to the NFL and was left with was our 2018 season.

That hurt just typing it again..

With the continued discussion and hype of the heralded Harrell Offense, barring injuries I am looking forward to a turnaround on defense. We definitely have the talent, we just need to put it all together. Specifically we need the push on the Dline. If we control the line of scrimmage we should do well. With the addition of Steele I feel much better should Griffin or ITS go down. I also hope Hufanga can stay healthy. I also hope Solo also gets reps. I would love to see the duo of EA and Solo asthat is what both signed on for!
    Fight On!

It’s always been about the lines...both sides. With Gomers buddy coaching the Oline SC got pushed around by Western Michigan amongst so many others. The season rests on SC lines ability to control the LOS.

Combine the soft lines with stupid play calling and you get Darnold giving Clay the cold stare. Hopefully we won’t see more stupid plays and a tougher line on both sides of the ball. SC does that and the wins will follow.

    Easy peasy.

High powered and NEW. It will take some time to get in sync, would be my take. Fresno is also well coached and is coming off a great year. They will see SC as down, no matter the changes and I think will come into this game confident. SC will probably win, but not sure they beat the spread noted above. I think they will get better with time, much like Carroll's first year, but they won't come out hitting on all cylinders.

This continued name calling is juvenile and disrespectful on a human level. We get it, you don't like some of his coaching decisions, but you and the other haters have become tiresome.

It may take some time to get firing on all cylinders, but I think there’s a good chance that they’ll be efficient come opening day. Fresno St. is no joke, and the offense will need to be at decent level of proficiency and execution, and I think they will be.

Beating the spread is another matter, very difficult to predict. I do think it’s possible for them to blow Fresno out of the water, and I hope they do. It’s just hard to evaluate at this point.

The old pirate, Leach, seems to be able to plug and play replacing key components yearly. I’m hoping the Graham learned well at the heel of his master.

I agree, and I think he can. What’s harder to evaluate right now is how close he will be to the top of his game right out of the gate after installing his system here from scratch. I think they’ll be good based on the level of talent he has to work with, but we’ll have to wait and see.

I agree again. Last season, we all watched game one against UNLV and realized that we not only hadn’t improved, we’d regressed. We will almost certainly see an improved offense this season, but we really need to see a significantly improved offense starting in game one. I think we will.

im going to go 56-17, SC will give ppl something to think about and serve notice. However, i feel many fans will take it as, "well it was Fresno"

for me its all about the weight room....that is where a team in made and tone is set. The strength and conditioning program. I don't care what else changed, if that didn't i wouldn't have bought into anything. ITS THAT IMPORTANT!!! and I think Ausmus is the type of coach these boys need! the mentality, accountablility and toughness has been lacking. From reports from players, that is getting addressed in the summer. its all about discipline.

I feel better about our OC than Clancy or Baxter. If Clancy feels a fire under im maybe the D doesn't fold in 2nd half. Time for Baxter to do something with all that practice time given on HJ.
