    No Filters tour...

The Stones are still alive and kickin' ass.

Saw them last night at Levi Stadium. They had the place rockin' and
people on their feet most of the two hour set.

Mick looked incredible after heart valve surgery, Keith and Ronnie were
battling away on their guitars and Charlie was relaxed and on beat all night.
They all looked great, well Keith looked pretty good for Keith.

I hope some of you are going to catch them at the Rose Bowl Thursday, may be the last chance and
one hell of a show to enjoy.

Saw them in Seattle on the 14th, Charlie reminded both my wife and I of Mister Rodgers.

Yes they can still deliver, but I can't imagine them being able to keep this up for too much longer. Glad I got to see them before the call it quits.

Despite being in my teens when rock & roll started, I was never much of a fan. Maybe some doo wop and early Motown caught my interest. I liked the big band sounds of the late 30's and early 40's and pop /jazz singers like Mel Torme and Ella Fitzgerald. To me most of rock was just loud noise. I'm probably the only one on the board who feels that way.

I saw them in San Diego when I was about 17. Someone had counterfeited a bunch of tickets (Festival seating / no one had an assigned seat). Because of the counterfeit tickets, a riot broke out. I was nearly crushed near the stage. I know it was not their fault, but I lost interest in the Stones. (This was not long after Altamont).

I saw them at the Coliseum with Guns N' Roses in 1989. They are great performers. I didn't know they were on tour again. Thanks, for sharing. I am going to try to get some tickets.

Many of us never thought Keith would make it this far.

    Life’s a funny thing..

“ Nobody wants to get old, but they don’t want to die young either. So we just have to follow this thing down the path.

I’m not getting old, I’m evolving”.

I've seen them a half dozen times over the years. Sat across the aisle from Keith flying from NY to Heathrow.

I got a last minute call from a buddy who said his security company would pay me $100 for 4 hours guarding the stage, so I said sure why not. The only thing I was told was that I could NOT watch the band and that I could only monitor the crowd, which I totally ignored.

Nope. I have seen Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Count Basie and many more. My musical tastes are pretty eclectic. Love doo wop, early Motown, Jazz, some country and western, some rock, standards, broadway, etc.

I hope you get some tix and enjoy the show.
The video screens are excellent and enhanced the show for those not very close to the stage.
