Esophageal cancer, for those of us who haven't been following. He announced less than a month ago that he had it, stage 4.

My cancer was squamous cell carcinoma glandular stage 4.

Any type of neck/throat cancer is horrific in my opinion. The treatment alone is enough to kill you it seems. Can’t eat, barely can drink. Anything that touches your pallet feels like broken glass or razor blades.

A very tough place for cancer and it is increasing among males each year. Please get yourself checked especially if you have something funky going on with your voice, tongue, or glands.

“Shakin” featuring Appolonia was one of my favorite all time videos.

My first concert was Eddie at the Universal Amphitheater when it was outdoors. Pat Benatar, whom no one had heard of opened. EPIC

The Rock n Roll lifestyle took it's toll on him no doubt. Others are more fortunate.

Was that the tour where he did about 5 encores and EVERY single one started with 2 tickets? I was there. I had a seat where I could see him as he went stage right just behind the curtain to um, fuss with his nose. He was SO coked up. By about the 4th encore people were actually starting to leave because, how many times can you hear 2 tickets in ONE show? I kinda felt bad for him but not really.

    Great concert though.

He was a solid musician and entertainer. Started off as NYPD officer....3rd generation. Married for 30 years to the same woman, had 5 kids together. Kicked his drug and alcohol habits in 2001. Very well-liked by just about everybody. No Control is in my top 20 albums all-time.

Bully for him for kicking it and being so popular....but I am betting it is no surprise that he is unknown to me.

Well I do watch Gilligan's Island reruns, but only during demorat debates and ucly football games.

As for music, I know Haggard and Jones and Patsy. But when it comes to these rock guys, after Elvis died, (if he did), I figured these later guys could not carry his marble bag, so I stopped listening
