He seems like the type of player that you put the ball in his hands and he will make a play. The more and more I see him on film, I would like to add him to our class. They have guys who can bang out the 4-5 yard run, or get to the second level and stretch it to 20 -30 yards. What the roster needs is a someone who can bust one from the backfield or on a kick return 80+ yards at any given opportunity. We saw Lex Thomas (UNLV) turn the corner on a fake reverse against SC and there was no chance to catch him. SC plays another guy like that in Bryce Love (Stanford) this Saturday. SC needs one of those guys in the tool box too. Trojan Man 30 and Troy70 like this.

However, in the back of my mind is the memory of another hot running back we wanted from San Diego. My son was a local sportscaster down there, he told me to be cautious because the guy was playing weak competition. I watched the tapes. The guy looked good, but he was bigger than the opposing team linemen. We got him. He was less than we expected. I hope that is not the case here.

He's fast . . . but he has to find a position in college . . . he played WR, RB and CB in high school. Marcus Allen? Just kidding. Look . . . you don't judge top recruits like Kenan Christon or Bru McCoy by what they do against over-matched competition like both played this past weekend. They will pile up a million yards in those games like they are supposed to do. You judge them by what they do against other good teams. For example, last year, Christon had a 98 yard kickoff return for a TD against division 1 state finalist, Helix HS. That's the kind of stuff you judge him on. You cannot teach elite speed in a football player . . . Nick Saban knows it . . . that's why Christon is the only RB he offered West of the state of Texas. I know the crystal ball reflects UW, but he is like Pili and Marlon where he is constantly double teamed and still can hold and clog up the middle. He is looking real good. Tufono plays tomorrow! Fight On!
