Didn't commitment of Groots from Mater Dei to USC start a bit of a wave that eventually included Matt Leinart to the Trojans? Sometimes it just takes one "name" guy to say he wants to join up that opens the eyes of others who might want to jump on that same ship?

IMO, he is heading to Oregon. It's proximity to home makes it possible for the family to visit and take part as fans. Flowe's desire to attend Clemson stems from their recent success and I imagine he wants to be part of a successful (football) program -- excluding academics and alumni network. Oregon at the moment is playing better and ranked higher than USC, making them an acceptable alternative to his first choice, Clemson. Having said that, I hope that on Wednesday he SIGNS his LOI and plays his college ball at USC.

I keep reading articles on how close flowe is with his gma. I don't know her age, but let's assume she's a bit on the older side. No way she would travel by plane more than 1 or 2 times per year. Where as driving to the coli will be much easier for the fam. So I'll bite and say he stays home and signs with the good guys.

Actually I have read in the past that the critical recruit that jump started the Pete Carroll era was getting Shaun Cody who was rated very similar to Flowe (obviously Cody was DL and Flowe a LB).

I'll take a hopeful guess that it will be USC.

“They bring up the No. 55 all of the time. They say, ‘Come over here and you’ll most likely get that No. 55.’
That’s big. Me and my family talk about that all of the time. I love No. 10, but if 55 comes then probably 55.”

I think the lack of clarity on the future of SC assistants, notably Pendergast and Nansen, will play a roll.

That team was still stacked when Carroll took over. Similarly to when Helton took over.

We have already lost a distinguished list of recruits from our back yard.

Biggins says he’s headed elsewhere. That dude never wrong when he calls a recruits destination. These Flowe threads are just desperate “ need good news” threads.

There’s been nothing to suggest he’s coming to USC.
Only all these regurgitated posts about what a slim chance USC has.

    Reverse psychology.......

I don't think we get Flowe. Hope I am wrong. Interesting that Biggins still has Yary as a CB to USC...and Bryant Jr.

I have yet to find a recruiting site that has SC in it.
Not saying it won’t happen, but the guys that know this stuff better than us armchairs don’t mention us.

We stopped recruiting Yary awhile ago from my understanding before he even decommitted.

I believe Sean Cody was CPC's first KABOOM, which made USC relevant to recruits.

Spoke to a friend of mine who was with his on his OV to UW last weekend...same weekend Yary and dad, Ron, were on OV to Huskyland. My friend's son is a HARD Husky commit, and he said Ron said "they" hadn't made a decision yet...but made it clear "Alumni Association" would KILL him if son ended up somewhere other than SC...FWIW...we'll know soon, probably.

Someone does. If you look at 247 it shows USC at 16%.

Hell he could be a preferred walk-on like Clay Matthews Sr's kid. That worked out well for him.
