You're not kidding! We lost to something called Utah Valley?!

Utah Valley University is the largest public university in Utah. They are a member of the WAC and are a D1 school. Unlike USC, they went to the NCAA baseball tournament last year and played in the Baton Rouge regional. They have a 3 game series with both Mississippi State and UC Irvine this year. They aren't Azusa Pacific or Concordia-Irvine.

We won the last two games, but the reality is that Hubbs is unfit to lead this program back to where it should be. It appears baseball is not a priority at Heritage Hall.

Sorry. Must have touched a nerve.

And it is unacceptable to lose to Utah Valley in anything.

I wouldn't dismiss Azusa Pacific. SC would have their hands full with them, IMO. They haven't played any D1 teams that I know of, but they are 14-0. They have recently placed Stephen Vogt and Kirk Nieuwenheis in the majors (teammates when my daughter went there). I watched a couple of their games. They can play.

Baseball is far from a priority. In fact I wonder if they even know we have a program except when it comes time to answer reporters questions.

The team is now 7-1 with wins over LB State, Villanova and LMU. This coming trip to Arkansas will tell a lot. But so far, other than the first game, things look pretty good.
