Now that winter is coming up, watch the economic devastation as patio dining goes away in much of America.

Can we simply blow up China with neutron bombs?

What a shame, I've had many good meals there.

Just what the commies wanted and why Pelosi is playing games with the final bill.

This will come back to bite them.

    that's a big loss...
did several business breakfasts there back in the 80's.

just the tip of the iceberg I'm afraid.

I hope so...it probably cost you about $30. Loved that place, too, but I had to rob a 7-11 store every time I ate there.

Very true. Fortunately I didn’t have to do the 7-11 route. My favorite and usual server was Jaime who always brought me the special cheese toast which was not on the menu.

It was a convenient place to go over consults with my referring doctors as well as those from Good Sam Hospital which was located across the street.

Some of things I will miss are the tomahawk steaks, Chilean sea bass, soft shell crabs, and especially the iced tea with lemon slices that came with lemon wraps.

They could perfectly char/blacken a rib eye and maintain the center medium; their creme brulee was also awesome.

Sounds like my kind of restaurant--quiet, cozy and conducive to getting together for conversations. It seems nowadays that most sit-down restaurants, even upscale ones, feature loud noise. At a McCormick & Schmick steakhouse where I went to eat last year, the rock music blaring through the PA system was so loud that we had to shout to be heard across the table.

The one I ate at was in Anaheim.

I thought Monty's Steak House in Pasadena had closed, but according to the Internet, it's still open, as is the Tam O'Shanter in Los Feliz.

The tam !!!! Long history with that place. They bought the lot next door from my family. A long time ago they had an Irish band that played in the bar area we used to go see every week. It was owned by Larry's and was huge with Walt Disney and his people
