Supposedly to better prepare for postseason play, I remain skeptical. 18 games seems to be working out okay for the ACC, Big 12, SEC, Big East and even the Mountain West who had two top 25 teams this year going into the tourney this year. I have not seen a good oust Larry Scott thread lately, but if the conference really wants to improve this is where I would prefer to start.

Think the following year can be a good year. Key is players developing.
PG finding a leader. Front court developing fast. COB or Max coming around at SF.
Lots of talent. Just need to jell as team.

2020-2021 team should be loaded - assuming Evan Mobley is in the fold...

Please explain to me where Mobley would be going?
The only place he would be going if it wasn’t USC would be the NBA.

That kid is coming to USC!
But to the OP, as long as Arizona gets to face USC/UCLA two times, I am fine.
I can’t stand this rotational nonsense when you skip that region.
Arizona/UCLA or USC is classic and two of your (PAC-12) better programs in your biggest markets.

I don’t like how the “big” money (football) is the driving force for all of this, especially when basketball is #1 in my book.

I wish this forum had more life to it.
It seem that the PAC12 has more parity in basketball.
UCLA and Arizona do not dominate it as in the past.
USC, Washington, UCLA, Arizona, Oregon all have a chance for the title next year.
It depends on how fast they develop their young stars.
USC with the number 4 class in the nation is right up with everyone.

I believe the problem is the West as a whole is consumed with football, which we aren’t very good at.
Only way we get a fan base interested in a national level is if their program is highly ranked, yet we have some of the best named programs in the country (USC/UCLA/Arizona/Washington/Oregon).
