Happy for him he made the right decision to leave. Damn Dufus Helton just wasting talent.. https://saturdaytradition.com/illinois-football/illinois-dl-oluwole-betiku-jr-leading-the-nation-in-two-statistical-categories-through-two-games/

Lovie Smith just knows defense and how to teach it better than Clancy. Would love to have Oluwole back rushing the QB for us. redeye, gubo&palanka and OC2SC like this.

Fisher Investments says annuities suck, and constantly posting about a kid that doesn’t play for USC, and worse yet chose to leave is about the same. Wolfpack4SC likes this.

There were also other issues involved in making that call, but given the lack of a meaningful pass rush so far this year, it shows, as does Wole's emergence at Illinois, just how poorly USC is at evaluating the talent they have on-hand. gubo&palanka, Arhedge, OC2SC and 1 other person like this.

If SC played UConn and Eastern Michigan, would anyone actually put any stock in whatever stats were amassed against them? My guess is we’d want to wait and see what happens against competent opponents. Maybe Wole is in fact a stud pass rusher and another example of SC’s coaching incompetence. I don’t think you can draw that conclusion based off 2 games against 2 of the worst teams in college football. TrojanHorse, Mightymoe77, LucGomez40 and 2 others like this.

Will be interesting to see what his numbers look like after Illinois goes Nebraska, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin coming up for their next four games. Hope he can keep it up.

Surely he developed somewhat in that time, and as such, I don't think all the credit goes to his new team. I'm not saying the USC staff coached him up 100%, just adding on that there are a few variables here to consider.

Well. This week they played Nebraska (3-1) who's only loss was to Colorado In overtime (3-1) who Beat ASU who Beat USC last season. You get my point. Wole got yet another Sack and played well. He still leads the Nation in Sacks with (7) tied with Chase Young of Ohio State who could be a 1st rounder. https://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/individual/36 Last edited: Sep 23, 2019 OC2SC, gubo&palanka and DJ4SC like this.

I simply cannot open this site right now, knowing there is the faintest chance those 3 topics may have aged onto the 2nd page. My hand trembles at the thought.
