Whites have had control over this country for 250 years. We have always been given more opportunities through better education opportunities, cronyism, and privilege.
Minorities are finally getting the chances that whites have been gifted for generations and you guys are acting like your victims. How Trumpian of you.
Pull up your big boy pants and use those good old American values that you claim to hold so dear. Put your nose down, work hard, and don’t blame everyone else for your own misfortunes.

 

Whites had control because they took control. It wasn’t just handed to them. Without question, blacks and Native Americans in particular, and other POC were badly disadvantaged by whites but ask yourself why?

 

And why are blacks demanding to be re-segregated?

By this reasoning people of color should start rounding up whites and enslaving them. Perhaps make them 3/5 of a human being. If they are generous they can allow whites freedom but deny them the right to vote, or access to good education, and high paying jobs. Maybe POC will finally give whites all the rights they deserve, but when they come out and vote in force, those results will be questioned in counties 80% white.
POC have been taken advantage of and cheated in this country since it’s inception. The current tantrum of Trump that specifically targets black areas is just another example. Whites will do almost anything to keep power, and history both past and present shows that.

Well blacks could start inventing stuff like the light bulb or PayPal, or Doordash. How about starting a microbrew? Hell they could put a Nail Salon in every affluent white community in America( oops, POC who don’t even speak English have taken that niche.)

Everywhere they’ve gone people have greeted them with open arms and they have extended instead I came to Africa they started to trade and then I was immediately begin to explain to people. When Europeans came to America they would have starved to death without the Native Americans teaching them how to farm and fend for themselves. Then what did they do? Violate every treaty they ever made with the natives, kill them, and take their land. We can look at most interactions between Europeans and other nations and almost always the Europeans are the aggressors. This is repeated in Africa, China, Japan, India, Polynesia, south and central America. Cooperation seems to be The way of the world except for when it comes to Europeans

Finally getting the chance? I’m guessing you’re an indoctrinated millennial with no concept of history. In the early 60’s (60 years ago) affirmative action gave black students the opportunity to take educational seats at universities ahead of higher performing whites. I had a friend and neighbor that had 4.0+ grades and even with all his white privilege couldn’t get a seat in med school. Another friend (black) was a 2.0-3.0 student who was readily accepted to med school. Neither became a doctor. One manages investments for many of the wealthy rock stars and the other recently retired from UPS. I’ll leave it to you to guess which was which.

 

Yea being around non-white people probably would make me uncomfortable too if I was a racist.

 

Nothing is wrong with working a good job and retiring with a pension. You don’t know the circumstances that led to them not being a doctor. Maybe their passion changed, maybe a family member died and they took a break and couldn’t come back, or maybe they just couldn’t afford it. Assigning your own logic without the facts only damages the perception of who you are judging.
