Unfortunate for the Trojans, not really sure what caused this kid to lose interest. ND ASU TEX STAN ORE make up his top 5 list. https://twitter.com/JuniorNiuafe/status/1366478405479198720?s=20

It's not like there was something forcing him to limit him to five and to not include USC. We'll see what happens, but looking at his top five (Arizona State, Oregon, Notre Dame, Stanford, Texas) I wonder if any of them had anything negative to say about USC. I'm sure not. gubo&palanka, TheTrojanKnight, Kaptain Karl and 4 others like this.

Still a long way to go but once a kid decommits 95% of the time they're as good as gone. Plus with the recent signing of Kana, I'm wondering if the coaches knew it was time to move on from Niuafe not saying they won't still recruit him but they just know he's likely headed elsewhere. Even to Alabama On the coaching staff to change the narrative. Just hard because of three things. 1) Exposure of the Pac 12 2) Not winning 3) Not developing at certain positions Top that off with the fact that recruits are told Clay Helton is about to be fired.

I think if that was the case they would have included USC Whoever leads the recruitment is wanting USC to be pushed to the side. Maybe Oregon. Possibly Texas. I could be totally wrong here. But Arizona State would want a head to head win.
