I tried a Nepali restaurant while traveling in the southwest USA a few months ago. I was surprised at how spicy the food was and how much potatoes were used. Tasty food.

If it's Everest, I can recommend the lamb curry, chana masala, and spinach naan.

It was indeed Everest....and it was GREAT....tried the chicken tikka masala and shrimp curry.
Those Sherpas must be pretty studly guys.

What a great place. I hope they make it. I hope I do as well....

Their curry is outstanding so really, it's just pick your favorite protein. So many choices for naan, too.

It is truly an outstanding restaurant. Well hidden from the road, you have to know about it to find them....which is why I said I hope they make it. It gets good reviews in the local paper and website, but they could use some traffic.

I did pick up not that long ago based on a recommendation from a former co-worker who lives nearby. She eats there quite a bit. This is not a good time for struggling restaurants.

Ditto...I prefer the dark Japanese style....the hotter the better...really pissed me off that the Curry House in Irvine went under

I love curry but I prefer the Indian style which uses more spices (cumin, paprika, tumeric) than Japanese curry. I also prefer the southern Indian style over the northern style simply because the southern style is not as thick and goes better with rice.

I believe Curry House closed all its California locations rather abruptly not too long ago. Didn't even inform their employees ahead of time.
