Great drummer. I've seen Rush over 10 times and met the guys once. RIP.

Terrible news. He was an absolutely phenomenal drummer. He was the backbone of one of the most definitive progressive rock bands of the 70's and 80's. I saw them a couple times live and was so impressed by how big their sound was for a 3 piece band, not to mention their massive catalog of great music.

    God speed, RIP

I didn't realize how much tragedy he suffered. First he lost his daughter to a car accident, then he lost his wife to cancer, and battled through it all.

Then he fought brain cancer himself to the end.[IMG]

The best drummer I ever saw. Sadly, he had a personal life filled with tragedy.

    A farewell to kings...

Well, you can stake that claim
Good work is the key to good fortune
    Winners take that praise
    Losers seldom take that blame
If they don't take that game
And sometimes the winner takes nothing
    We draw our own designs
But fortune has to make that frame

We go out in the world and take our chances
Fate is just the weight of circumstances
That's the way that Lady Luck dances
    Roll the bones
