Did anybody else see his interview on Bleacher Report? I now see why he was committed to Alabama for so long, why he wanted to get away from California all together. Hard not to root for that kid to be successful, just wow.

My family moved to Antioch in 84, it was a fairly quiet bedroom community. My senior year was '92 in Antioch High School, and it was still pretty much the same bedroom community, but had grown significantly in population. My family moved out in 2001, and it had already started to have some pretty bad areas. I still have friends that live there, and now it has one of the highest crime rates in the state. I don't blame him for wanting to get far away from there either. I will root for the kid to have success for sure (still wish he chose us), it deeply saddens me to see what that city has become, but hopefully kids like Najee can give hope and some day it will be cleaned up.

While true that a lot of kids have a rough time and are behind other kids in terms of opportunity......in the end we all have a choice.
That's what separates one person from another.

?NH will have no problem going forward. He's in a very good spot to do well for him self and provide for his family.

    BOL to him.

Alabama is not the answer for most people like Najee. He seems to be an incredible talent and will likely parlay that talent into a lucrative professional career; however, Alabama is not a state in which I would like to live if I want health care, choice, nor the opportunity to vote easily.

Get the education. There are no guarantees in football. Some athletes peak earlier in their maturation process and never improve beyond that. We'll see. Good luck to Najee in everything he does.

Wow, you almost make it sound like Alabama is like a war-torn south Saharan nation. Hyperbole much?
