Too much Optimism there Chris, you need to tone it down a bit! LOL. Just wait until 2025, that's going to be a great recruiting year, maybe?

Are we hiring the Super Bowl champs DC & S&C staff so we can win the right way?

    This came to mind...

On the bright side, USC isn't playing LSU in Arlington. Coach O, the big green dude wearing purple pants, would be merciless. Puny Trojans...

A devastating critique of Bohn's recent comments and actions. HH seems to be digging a deeper hole for itself with each new announcement about the state of the program.

Couldn't decide which part to quote. Too many good ones. First, the need for therapy. Then, Folt bringing up "winning the right way." Then, Helton's "finally have the resources." (I wonder to whom all these misdirection and lies are directed?)

In the end, going with this:

"Equally funny, Carol Folt used 'winning the right way' in her public statement recently. Was she intentionally trying to give me a stroke?"

Hmmm. I notice that the Hulk is wearing Oregon Green and Loki is wearing gold, obviously a USC guy.

Apparently USC didn't have a lot of scholarships to offer because there aren't many graduating seniors. That has a big bearing on draft class ranking. Why doesn't anyone say anything about that?

I'm happy to say something about that, since you're interested in the topic.

USC was never going to be in the top 10 of the recruiting rankings with a class this small. But USC could have landed a small class full of blue-chip prospects. Had the Trojans done that, had they pulled in 12 of the top 25 in California, instead of -- What's the number this year? Oh yeah, zero -- we wouldn't be having this discussion. If you're missing that distinction it's because you want to.

Umm because that is not true. While size of class does affect rating, the biggest factor is quality. Kiffin for example had a 12 man class but it was almost all 5-stars with some 4-stars thrown in and it was about #5 in the nation. Helton's class is also 12 men and it rated 12th out of 12 in the PAC and 80th nationally. Low quality 2 and 3 stars.

Any success Helton has had in the past was a result of Sark and Kiff's recruits. Now that he's on his own, records like 5-7 ensue.

Remember Larry Smith: He won for 3 years with Tollner's players meanwhile recruiting poorly. It caught up with him just like its catching up with Helton. Don't be like Larry :-(

North Texas out recruited us? Here's something worse, powerhouse East Carolina 3-9, 3-9, 3-9, 4-8 over the last four out recruited us.

The F(Foyt) and B(Bohn) duet remind me of the Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff dramatical performances.
Add that they also seem to be wolves in sheeps clothing when it comes to the U.S.C. football program.

The rose-colored statements issued for the public consumption are insults to the SC football fans. If the intention is trying to hide the current mediocrity of the football program the speakers are ignoring the clear signs of the current and upcoming doom and gloom. In my long years of following the SC football I have never seen a year that USC has been the very last in football recruiting in the conference and ranked in the 70s (or 80s) in the country. This year's recruiting fiasco will show its impact in years to come. If Mr. Helton was able to go to Rose and Cotton Bowls with the players recruited by previous head coaches wait and see what he does with his own recruits.

Hey Troianus, I think I would reverse that, they're more like sheep in wolves clothing.

What smacks me funny is that we had season tickets for at least 25 years. It seemed each year when SC was a powerhouse under McKay and Robinson our tickets seemed to migrate towards the Peristyle. We finally got pissed off and gave them up. I'll bet next season seats will be plentiful and probably much better than the nosebleed sections near the peristyle. That's the only silver lining I can see from my vantage point.
