USC men's golf currently tied for the lead with Texas. I believe it all resets though when they get down to the final eight.

The men's individual final round is about to start. You can catch it on the golf channel. Two Trojans are in the running.

This medal portion I believe is to determine the individual national champ and the seeding for the match play that follows and decides the team NC. Our ladies were in great shape... again... and died the first day FWIW

I think Texas is the favorite this year right? They have Beau Hossler from MVCC

I was thinking they won last year...but it was LSU I guess.

Yup...I was watching the replay and it started out really well...but Texas was too deep. We should have a great team next year.

Why is Oregone getting home field advantage ??? Can Nike buy everything? I don't see anything that says they earned it ... like with best record (ala Warriors vs. Cavs, etc.)

I was curious about the selection process also...but then it has to be held somewhere. It is a huge advantage for Oregon this year though -- no question.

Wow... what a nail biter. 2 -2 and the final match is all square after 18 holes. It is still on live now on the golf channel.

Oregone was impressive. They had to overcome the distractions of having all those fans to cheer them on ... having to overcome their familiarity with the course they grew up playing ... all that NIKE money ... and worse - Texas having to forfeit leaving out their best player. The overtime should have signaled a concession to Texas. What if the coach of Oregon was such a classy guy that he pulled out one of his players to make it a fair contest The "match" actually ended at 2.5 to 1.5 favor of Texas ...

FWIW ... Funk can own up ... He should never have left his final putt short ... with his opponent staring down at a certain birdie I know you want the speed to be right ... but you have to take the chance and not leave it short.
