LET'S GET THIS LEGACY!!! He will give us some of the quality depth we need in the Trojan track program. (It wouldn't hurt the football program either - yes I know the rules regarding track guys that also play football! I don't care!!!)

Katnick and Ponzio together will make a great one-two punch that we rarely get (Bryant/Denbo being the last time).

I don't know. My guess is 'no', but we'll see. BTW, we also have Nate Bultman coming in. That gives us three throwers next year, how awesome is that??!!!

Katnick starts of the year with 68'9" on March 7 and 68'6 3/4" on March 13! Nice start. Could be the first California HS 70 footer in ages!!! Can't wait to see him in C&G.

Very nice indeed! We have Ponzio at 60' already (as a freshman) and if Katnick does the same, we're looking real nice for a bunch of years. How sweet!

TD: Back in the day!!! I don't recall who were the guys who coached the throwers under Mortenson and Wolf?

WOW!!! Trackdude that's what I call service!!! Thanks.

Another question pops into this old mind of mine: Wasn't there a weight coach name Art Venegas or something like that name at either USC or UCLA around the 70's or 80's? I seem to recall the Bruins starting to get some very good weight guys around that time. Damnit! I knew I shouldn't have given USC all my old Track & Field News! :ohwell:

Katnick upped his season mark to 72'3" at his League Meet. Trojans are gonna get a good one that's for sure.

Katnick finished first in shot at 71'3.5" and discus at 172'5" in CIF Division 3 Prelims and Dominic Davis (Alemany FB Player/USC Commit) won his 100m heat in 10.48w and 200m in 21.77w. Only other USC commit that I saw was Nathan Bultman 4th in Division 1 Shot at 55'5" well below his best of over 63'.
