That's what people love..." How much longer can that corrupt cabal hide behind the romantic, homespun facade of innocent competition between student-athletes? They spin their mission as if one small tier above intramural sports. The arrogance galls me. In fiscal year 2016-17, for the first time the NCAA exceeded a billion dollars in revenue. The same for 2017-18--82% derived from TV and marketing rights for March Madness alone! They are a filthy rich monopoly holding sway over member schools, yet a staggeringly profitable 501(c)(3) immune to tax. Sounds corny to say but this charade is simply un-American. How does this continue absent intense scrutiny and accountability? A study done by their own organization shows only 7% of the public surveyed "have trust in the NCAA to act in the best interest of student-athletes." Stunning, because that's the very essence of their mission! How does a group with that little credibility wield such power? sctrojan2006, SCAnteater and gubo&palanka like this.
