    Hmmmm.

Looking over the Folt letter, it wouldn't surprise me if there is another shoe to drop here, folks. Let's hope it was a removal for poor performance and nothing else.

If it's not as simple as Swann underperforming and involves any potential legal/settlement bills added to USC already hefty liabilities involving recent scandal, all I can say is we're going to need to Fight On!

Goodbye to my old classmate, .....we shared classes together in the early 1970's!! .!!! For the record, he is still one of my favorite Trojans athletes of all-time. Also he was the 1970 CA CIF State Champion in the Long Jump at Serra High School.

Many are called. Few are Trojan!!!

That's kind of the beauty of it, at least as far as the football program is concerned. Helton, you WILL win, or else! (Or so it seems)

I'll give you that, should be the first sport fixed as soon as we get a new AD.

Proven, but not yet convicted. In his eyes, that makes him clean as freshly fallen snow.

Highly unlikely. I think she already has someone in mind.

New AD needs to figure out a way to add Women’s Softball. I’m tied of seeing the bRuins and the Trees winning in this every year. If USC added a team they would easily dominate as scholarship limits and minor league options are not as really issues.

With that kind of urgency, sounds like this might specifically be about that.

Combined with UCLA's loss and the bye for Notre Dame, it's an "almost" perfect weekend?

Personally, I don't hold any ill will toward Swann. I don't think he did nearly as poor a job as seems to be the current here. Being Athletic director is about a lot more than winning national championships in football.

Swann will hardly notice the difference - he's had his tee time for Saturday reserved for months.

I would speculate that the pay for play certainly was used as leverage to get him to resign and it may or may not be mostly about that. The timing is definitely interesting. There was an unflattering report on Lynn Swann's media reaction after the game on Saturday and I thought maybe the timing was partly about that. Or perhaps Swann's tenor with the media was because he was already having this conversation with Dr Folt?

To me it's sad Swann is gone, it does not see that he was given a chance. All these scandals most likely started before he was hired and were already strongly embedded and concealed. Swann is a great person and I pray for his health and continued success. He is the only AD that has ever returned one of my emails so I have respect for him.
