Watching Bowling Green play MD high would be good for so many people here to see. Terrible on the kids though

Let’s not be so smug as to assume we would beat Bowling Green. We have one of the 10 worst coaching staffs in the country, so that leaves every game a coin toss, be it a top ten opponent or a middling mid-major.

More whining about other team’s schedules? This from a fanbase whose team plays in “ Pillow Fight Conference USA?”

Oh how far the Trojans have come.

Used to be "anyplace, ..... anytime"

    Now it's "complain and deflect"

How about Alabama? They play a tough game at Texas A&M this Saturday. How did they do this past Saturday. Oh that's right they had a BYE. Another tough game at home this time against LSU. Who do they play the week before? Hey look at that -- another BYE. How about those pesky Auburn Tigers at Auburn? They do have to suit up this time -- against the mighty Catamounts of Western Carolina. The three toughest games on their schedule. Give. Me. A Break.

Given that we have a high school-level HC, not a bad strategy by the Domers.

Alabama could play ten top ten opponents in ten days, and still beat us by four touchdowns. Give me a break with this scheduling rant. They are spectacular, well-coached, and are going to cut us in half in just under a year - and our coach will be Clay Helton. Don't take a futile crap on them because they paid for the best coach in the history of the game, and have worked the system beautifully. If it were us, we would respond to all of it with: "then beat us."

The test is how they do in the playoffs. They win. They beat the best of the rest. So does it matter who they play to get there? And every time USC took the "play the best, beat the best" approach, how did that work for us?

    At home? Pretty safe bet.

Sagarin has BG predictor rating at #185
    Fresno State was #63
BYU down to #83 since they lost their starting QB

Solid OP, @AnnenbergGrad . Playing a tune up game like this allows team to stay in hitting shape without risking too much in terms of injuries. Allows team to gain confidence, while spending majority of time "looking ahead" to the bigger game that follows. SEC has built a conference on this strategy. Maybe as long as we are playing UC Davis, we can drop them in to the schedule in front of a tough game going forward? I guess we would need cooperation from Uncle Larry though...and that ain't gonna happen.
