I was at the game last night. Lot of seniors who play major minutes will be graduating. One this is for sure- our team is going to get much younger- which makes me wonder: does Clay use youth as his reason for why we suck so bad next year? Honest question though: is there a single spot on the team that you are at least slightly excited about or even intrigued with? I’m not sure but that kid Stepp- he looked like a beast last night. Could be fun to watch if we could actually block for him

Defense: Whatever LB position EA ends up at, and Safety with Hufanga. Those two are ballers.

Offense: RB with Markese Stepp and WR with Amon Ra St. Brown.

He already exhausted the youth reason this year. It would be really really stupid of him to use the same excuse again for next season. But...this is Clay Helton were talking about, so it's possible.

Yea Ea and hufanga are pretty talented physically. I heard the young center may be pretty good. Oh who knows? JT hopefully will see the game slow down for him and the o-line protected him ok last night.

Neilon and Dedich will be battling it out. One will probably end up as a guard. Both are mean and aggressive SOBs who don't stop looking for defenders to pancake until the whistle blows. I love that about both guys!

Schedule will be impossible for Helton to navigate ... tough road games vs good coaches. He cannot get a team to play a full game especially on the road

But does Clay LOVE either one of those guys? That is the single most important trait for a starting center.

Lots of talent coming back on this team. Super strong at DL, LBer and safety (wish Levi was still on team).
Oline has to improve, right? Toa single handedly cost us a few games this year.
Hopefully Carr will be completely healthy - Vae will be back and Stepp looks strong. WR core is in good shape.
We could use a new punter - both guys sucked this year.
    JT just needs good scheme/play-calling.

Although the competition is probably over, I think Sears brings the mobility dimension that Danials just can’t provide. Two or three runs out of the QB spot would have been a big help against ND and everyone else.

Look at how Book was able to extend two it times Bree drives last night.

ND and Washington on the road - Oregon, Stanford, Utah, UCLA at home. I think the schedule looks good for USC in 2019

I am very excited to see the young CB's get some PT next year with OG, ITS, and GJ coming back. Hopefully those guys can bring some much needed speed and athleticism to the Corner position because we did not have it these past 2 years since Adoree left. Chase Williams looked very good out there filling in for Hufanga at SS. Then there is this Jordan McMillan kid who came out of nowhere and played his ass off to hopefully have earned himself a scholarship for next year. The only question is who takes over the FS spot vacated by Tell? Will it be Pollard or Pola-Mao or somebody else?

I believe there are 22 seniors who will be graduating. A full and deep class JAS to come in....

I know Levi Jones is off of the team for this season. Is he also out of school or can he return to the football team next season?

I don't think EA should see the field until he learns more about "gap integrity" (sarcasm)

Agreed. Kid is a total liability out there. (Double sarcasm)
