It was just announced today that outstanding sophomore sprinter Lauren Raine Williams is transferring from Oregon to SC! This is really strange as she had originally committed to SC but was then released from her LOI to attend Oregon. Now, after a solid freshman year at U of O she transferring to our school. This will mean that the Women of Troy will be stacked again in 2019! Lauren Raine's exit is part of a wider exodus from the U of Oregon program, as a number of other top athletes are also leaving the U of O program. I wonder what's going on in Eugene?

This transfer may have assured SC of another NCAA championship.

That very well could be. We really need to see the field events step up.

She's potentially the female Matt Corral. Left Lakewood to attend Oaks Christian, commits to USC, decommits, goes to Eugene, leaves Eugene to come back to SC. Sprinters=headcase prima donnas sometimes.

I would say at this point, SC's women are really loaded for 2019. We have exceptional strength in the sprints, hurdles, relays and horizontal jumps (especially now with the addition of Cal grad transfer Isabella Marten in the triple jump). The same might also be said of the 800? We might also be pleasantly surprised in the throws. There is much to look forward to next season!

Good addition. She has moved around a bit. SMU as a freshman, Cal for two yrs, now with us. 43' 8PR, if she can improve on that the women just may defend their crown. The pieces all seem to be there.
