Based on the film I've seen from this young man.....this time the coaches got it right in awarding #55.
This kid has tremendous speed....dare I say it, like Mr. Seau. Not comparing the two, that's not fair to this young man.

I hope he sticks with his commitment, way to early in the process, but awarding #55 is symbolic on this program.

I am definitely surprised that he decided to shut his recruitment down so early.

So how many linebackers will the staff recruit in 2018? I'm so excited about this linebacker class. Imaging a class of Calvert, Scott, Gaoteote, Robertson (Serra) and the kid from Claremont. Remind me of the Rey, Cushing, Rivers, Mathews, Maiva years.

 

I have seen Garry P post on several other threads and say that we are looking to take four LBs in this class.
I get the feeling if we landed one of Robertson or Tuliaupupu, and the other wanted to come aboard, with Goateote/Scott/Calvert, I don't think we turn him away.
Granted I don't know anything but if the key is to keep the local talent at USC and away from the other PAC schools, you take all five and figure out the semantics later.

 

This kid is gonna be awesome. He's fast, mean, fundamental and will grow even more. Height isn't a huge factor but if their was a single thing I would change I would love if he were 6'4 or 6'5 just to make him look that much scarier in uniform but this kid is an all American and first round pick for sure barring injury.

Love kids that commit early, no drama, and always wanted to be a trojan.

 

This is a huge Kaboom. A lot of credit and respect needs to go to Nansen. Just recruiting the hell out of those Poly boys.

 

Early commits make me a bit uneasy, especially after losing two early commits recently in Daelin Hayes and Mique Juarez, but this one seems a bit more solid than those. A MAJOR get for us if it sticks.
