JT Daniels is a mentally strong young man. He will fight, he will persevere, he will come back stronger than before, he will win. I have no doubts about the character of JT Daniels.

Fight On, JT! You will get through this.

Bring on the Farm. Let's Win Win Win!

    Fight On Trojans!

Sorry to read this. I was at the game and could tell it was going to be bad, especially when he couldn’t put any weight on it and they announced the x-rays were negative - indications of major soft tissue damage. JT is a true Trojan. Fight On JT.

Unfortunately this probably buys Clay Helton another season regardless of record

Wow, just wow...this is dreadful news for JT and his family, (not to mention his team and HC).

Fight On JT, rooting for a very speedy/healthy recovery!

Get better and stronger, JT........hopefully the torn meniscus is repairable, if not, and has to be removed, hoping that not too much has to be removed (been there, done that). Thanks for your contributions up to now. Fight On!

As for Jack Sears, we really, really need him, that's all I'm going to say about that.

Fight On and beat the Cardinal!

SC football has become a recurring nightmare season after season as of late. Complete waste of talent on a captain-less ship. Need to clean house starting with Helton and Swann. Lord, please let this nightmare end soon...

It's as if the board meltdown a couple weeks ago happened because many of us anticipated this could happen and what the repercussions could be. Again, I had no problem with JT at #1, but this scenario was a very real possibility, and now the best healthy QB on the roster is on the way out. Nice job, Clay.

So Clay Helton thinks starting a True Freshman against this is a good Idea? What do all these teams have in common? They are all physical and will blitz.

    Stanford @home
    BYU on the road
    Utah @ home
    Washington on the road
    ND on the road

They name an untested, untried freshman as #2, they get what they deserve. They could have listed them as Slovis OR Fink and saved themselves some face. Helton already destroyed JT last year with the O line he put in front of him, now he wants to destroy another freshman with the O line we have now. Yet through it all there is Fink and even Sears maybe who can negotiate through the weaknesses of the O line, are mobile enough to get out of trouble. To bad Helton cannot admit he made a bad decision and put someone in there that can handle it. Slovis is going in like a sacrificial lamb. What a shame.

That's what I was wondering. It may be a fantasy that a bad year = new coach, given this injury.

I’m sorry for JT. This must be difficult for him.

On the other hand, if you’re going to miss a season, this is probably a good one to miss.

At this point, not to be harsh, but if the commitment from Bryce Young sticks, JT Daniels may very well have taken his final snap as a QB at USC. Even if he makes a full recovery, he'll have to battle Kedon Slovis (who will have a full year under his belt as the start at USC), Young and Fink. I just don't see that JT will ever regain the role of starting QB at USC again. Maybe he needs to think about entering the Transfer Portal and we need to talk with Jack Sears about pulling himself out of the Portal.

He would not have been next up if Slovis was not at USC anyway.
You all need to get over it.

You mean the guy that was #3 last year and #4 this year?
If he was not in the portal he would still be on the bench holding a clip board.

SC fan base has become worse than your typical Philadelphia fans.

He was looking more confident last night.

I still say the pass-happy attack contributed to his injury. We should have been mixing it up more.

Best wishes to heal up JT and come back next year.

I don’t know the going rate for ACL and Meniscus surgery, but my foot surgeries to repair old athletic injuries have exceeded $100k. I highly doubt JT enters the portal until all of his medical issues are taken care of by USC. God speed JT, hope the healing is good and the recovery time is reasonable.

God Bless JT Daniels, I pray for a speedy recovery and peace for him. That being said we are looking 2-4 to start the season 500 record best case scenario. When can these great kids expect to get the coaching their athletic skill and positive attitudes deserve. How many less then SC caliber recruiting classes and below SC standards seasons will we endure before Helton and Swann go? Only one name I can think of can recruit the big ugly’s and skill players equally well. Don’t F this up SC! Time to pony up and get the best possible coaching staff that our great University deserves.
