He was really good a couple of years ago. Then had a concussion last year, missed several games, and wasn't quite the same when he returned.

All of a sudden, we've got scholarships opening up. Wish we could have signed a couple more recruits.

Get your degree & grad school on your scholie. Devon Kennard said he loaded up on classes while recovering from hip surgery.

Best of luck to John, he was a solid player and he was always great to deal with.

It seemed strange on the first day when Langley was wearing 24 and Ross was wearing 14. Now it makes sense.

At least he made the right decision for a USC degree instead of ugly. Best of luck!

Also tough when you have to hang it up due to injury. He was a solid player and will be missed. Best of luck.

Sad news for John. I wish him the best in his future career and glad that he got to experience what so many fans could have only dreamed of. John seemed to always be a hard worker and played the underdog role to get significant playing time. I hope that one day we can improve our helmet technologies to completely eradicate concussions.

The best decision you'll ever make, is when to call it quits
