Sounds like Joe Barry’s been offered the job.

LA Rams: Linebackers coach / assistant head coach Joe Barry is speaking with Sean McVay about the Rams vacant defensive coordinator job and if he doesn’t get it he “likely has an opportunity” to become USC’s defensive coordinator, Ian Rapoport tweets.

Assitant HC experience in the NFL plus his previous NFL experience is beneficial...however, I'm not sure how well the linebackers played for the Rams this season.

Joe Barry? I can’t believe the Rams would hire this guy.

As for Dough...the old saying goes: A’s hire A’s and B’s hire C’s!

You could fit his Rolodex on a grain of rice.

Reading the responses to that Twitter post Washington Redskins fans don’t think highly of him, think he was a disaster as their DC.

I agree, but how much better will we be if our defense can just play at a competent level?

I actually like this hire if it does happen. He was solid when he was with us. I'd expect good things from him.

I’m a believer that the DC change won’t effect much unless there’s a culture change. Can’t tackle well if you don’t practice it.

I wouldn’t have a problem with this if it’s an NFL DC position for which he’s waiting for an answer.

But I’m not so sure he’s a great hire anyway. And even if he turns out to be a defensive guru, I don’t think it will make much difference without a change in the culture.
