It certainly be nice if the LA Times and the other local newspapers promoted the track meet. They used to many years ago.

It will be really interesting to see if Coach Caryl and staff decide to go all out to win this Dual Meet. This is already a memorable season, that it can truly become special if SC wins a national championship. With luck, we have the performers to do it, but does the staff risk running Michael Norman, Rai Benjamin, and others in multiple events and relays and thus possibly incurring injuries, etc. They'll have two weeks until the Conference Championship to recover, so we'll see!

It's always great to beat the ruins, but winning a national title is much more important. I remember in '67 SC lost the dual meet but easily won the national championship.

We'll know what's up once the heat sheets are posted later in the week. The strategies in T&F competition have changed a lot since the 'old' days. MSAC doesn't get the big guns like they used to because it's too early in the season now. Crazy, huh?

As for the Times, they can go suck it.

My prediction is the women should win easily and the men can win, but some guys will need to triple-up.

It is ucla meet and, as I recall, Norman, Benjamin, and many other athletes doubled up for that meet last year.

Heat sheets are available. Looking these over it seems to me the ucla team is really weak. Strange.

I will post results on the Trojan Force website linked below.

As far as I know, that's correct. Pretty bogus on the part of the PAC-1.

I agree! What is the purpose of the conference sports channel. What is on during the track meet? Rowing high lights?

Great to see BOTH men and woman come out victorious. Even without Shinnick or Morris. Kudos to the men’s 4x100 shows great sprint depth. Side note, not shedding any tears, my have the Bruins fallen on hard times. No PVs or 110 hurdlers. Tsk!

So the hurdler Morris didn't compete nor Shinnick. Are they both done for the year?

Strange that USC is without a hurdler.

What's the purpose of having the 6 regional channels if the LA one isn't showing the USC vs UCLA meet. Who else would they be covering?

That's a good question. I would think that USC has enough media know-how to at least film the meet and show it later. What I don't know is what USC may have signed away when joining the P12. Does SC even have rights to televise their own sporting events???

To dbw, Morris broke his collar bone in the Mar.14 meet, is redshirting. (He's the hurdler)
